New polymers for new batteries

As part of the European ASTRABAT project to develop optimal Lithium-ion battery solutions, Daikin Chemical Europe has concluded a number of studies to develop a solid electrolyte polymer for high voltage cathodes. ASTRABAT is a three and a half years European project launched in January 2020. It aims to develop optimal Lithium-ion battery solutions for the increasing demands of the electric vehicle market in particular. Daikin Chemical Europe is one of 14 partners in a consortium from 8 European countries working on the project.
