UNIDYNE is Daikin’s water and oil repellent brand that was developed over 50 years ago.

As the industry leader for water and oil repellency products, UNIDYNE has a variety of non-fluorinated and fluorinated product options. Typical substrates include textiles, paper, non-woven fabrics, and carpets.

Filtration

Unidyne provides durable water repellency (DWR), oil repellency and stain release properties to textiles and nonwovens, while maintaining breathability and the original soft hand of the fabric. All of our fluorine-based Unidyne product grades are PFOS-free
and PFOA-free C6-fluorinated polymers (PFOA detection limit: 5ppb). Non-fluorinated PFC-free water repellent product grades are also available.

Our experienced technical service team can help you find the right product grade and optimal concentration for your fabric and performance requirements, and support your technical requests. Finding the perfect match for your requirements helps to reduce production costs and to increase manufacturing efficiency.

Textile applications

Unidyne textile treatments provide on all types of fabrics:

durable water repellency (DWR),
oil repellency,
solvent repellency and
IPA repellency / alcohol repellency

They are compatible with many other bath auxiliaries.

Unidyne maintains the original breathability and soft hand of the fabric.
It can be easily applied to apparel, technical textiles, and upholstery.

Nonwoven applications

Unidyne provide for virtually all nonwoven substrates:

barrier performance for surgical apparel, filters, liners, etc.

Unidyne can be used in:

Medical: surgical gowns, medical drapes, packs, protective masks (face masks, FFP2 masks, FFP3 masks), sterilization wipes
Filtration: automotive fuel and oil filters, swimming pool filters, airconditioning filters
Automotive: molded bonnet liners, battery separators, headliner backers.

All tests are performed in our Innovation Center’s laboratory on standardized fabrics.
