Plastic waste in the ocean is endangering marine animals. Most of this waste is debris of used consumer goods; part of it, however, consist of pellets meant to manufacture plastic products. Daikin Chemical Europe is a partner of Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS), an international programme designed to prevent the loss of plastic pellets during handling and their release into the aquatic environment. OCS aims to assist each link in the plastics industry, resin manufacturers, carriers and plastics processors to implement good handling practices with granules (pellets) and maintenance of industrial sites.
